He also keeps a separate list (not available on the internet) of scrapped cars, they might be there, you'd have to e-mail him and ask.
Alternatively, try the DVLA http://www.dvla.gov.uk/welcome.htm - I'm not sure if they are allowed to release that sort of information, but it can't hurt to ask.
