I agree 100% with JonMac on clubs, shows & VTR, I understand all efforts/time contributed to any hobby is usually thankless, but speaking only on my experience on this side of the water our problems for not having a larger membership in our National club as well as local is a little extra effort on all chapters, zones, and local clubs, a perfect example is not asking for membership, I have 13 registration applications mailed to me just in the past 2 months and not one has asked the question "are you a member of VTR" or would you like to join our local club, the shows are where the cars are and I'll wager anyone that less than 50% of show particpants are members of the local club much less the national level of VTR. A few years ago at a VTR SE convention here on the east coast while at the banquet dinner the speaker asked for a show hands hands as to how many belong to the local club, and how many where members of the national club, less the 1/2 the hands were raised. If the largest majority of the T/R's built were imported to the U.S. then how come we only have 2300 members, my answer not enough people are asking owners to join, and yes the cars are getting older and the drivers are much older than the cars in many cases and interest I think is at a peak, so we all need to start asking "Come Join My Club" , we call it "VTR" Just my .00002 "FT"
