Early Spitfires and GT6's use a single master cylinder that does both front 
and rear brakes.  A Tilton (or AP/Wilwood etc) could be used on any of these 
that don't use a stepped bore single cylinder without any difficulty.  The 
problems/difficulties arise when you start getting into stepped bores and/or 
dual circuit brakes.  None of it is terribly difficult to solve, it's just 
probably quite unnecessary for a stock street driven car.
