Let me be the first to jump in here. A Quid is a British Pound A 10 Bob note is (or was) worth 10 Shillings, if memory serves me correctly. Since the British converted to a decimal monetary system, many of the confusing conversion factors went away with those denominations (Guinea, shilling, farthing, etc. But a Quid is still worth one Pound.
