OK I checked with Spit Bits and Nigel said he has not had any problems. So I pulled the studs and it does goes in. The new U shaped arm does not allow it to fit unless you remove the studs. Like I surmised the arm hits the inside of the block with teh studs at the angle to try and get it on the ends of the studs. Only problem then is getting the studs back in and the one towards the back of the engine is a real pain to do.
