York used to make aftermarket kits to add a/c to a number of imported cars. Never
saw one for a Spit but I wasnt working on them back then. I've seen a lot of them on
the old Honda Civic 1200s (73-79). They were dogs- old slow three-legged dogs, & they
didnt cool that well either.
