construct a smaller computer workstation.... locate it near the garage.....out of the main area of travel....best at the bottom of the stairs...so, you will hear folks "on the approach".....and can stand up and greet them, as if you were not working @ the computer... consider setting up a workstation on the workbench, out in the garage.....good luck !!
