George,

I know I'm a little late on this but I never knew a 15 months old daughter
would keep me that busy! :)

Anyway, I had my rad recored and a new thermostat and original water pump,
but the needle was still sitting to close to the red line for comfort when
idling (even on a not so hot day (22c). Replaced the old (and badly cracked
rad cap with a brand new one (of the correct pressure for my application -
'69 Spit - ) and now the needle stay solidly in the middle, even idling in
traffic in 33c weather.

HTH
Stef
