I had the same problem with one of my rebuilt SU's this past spring. I did centre the needle but the jet still would not return all the way once the choke was released. On the advice of my local lbc mechanic, I removed the jet and very lightly sanded it with 1000 grit sand paper. I would run the sand paper around the circumference of the jet, clean, and re-insert to test the movement of the jet. It took a couple of passes with the sand paper to get the jet to smoothly move in and out without sticking.
