One word of caution. With the doors off the body is not very strong and tends to flex in the center. I welded a piece of angle iron across the inside of the door opening while it was still on the frame. After I put it back I cut the angle iron off.

I have a GT6 factory manual that shows using hooks on the cowl (that'll work for the Spit, too) and a beam under the roof (that ain't gonna work with the soft top).
So, just use a sling around the rear right behind the rear wheel openings?
