Thanks, I actually found something at good old McMaster Carr, called coupling nuts. Only grade five but the increased thread area should more than make up for it - and wheel nuts, which are recommended in the competition manual can't be more than grade five - *************************** >The nuts that I use on the race car come from an industial tool supplier >and are used to secure parts to a milling table I believe they are >called a shouldered nut very strong
