I just finished installing my Miata seats in my spit this weekend. If you want to see them, I posted an entry about it in my blog: http://www.kirkanddonna.com/kirk/2004/08/skid-plate-and-seats.html They sit a bit higher than my previous seats, but they are much more comfortable, and have the speakers in the headrests!
