Phillip,
I found that most companies don't like to rent a car hauler unless you are
renting a truck too. Some charge a huge price and others simply won't do
it. I ran into the problem some years ago and ended up buying a trailer for
very little over the rental price. I planned to sell it at the next
destination which would net a cost much lower than the rental. That was 15
years ago and we still have the trailer. It has been a godsend many times
both for our family and friends. Recommend you consider purchasing a new or
used one. You always have the option to sell it later. Seems to always be
a market for them. If you do buy used, check the tires and welds closely
and plan on repacking the bearings.
Good luck,
Pete

I'd have to agree. I bought a trailer some years ago to tow my 84 RX-7 autocross car around and it's been next to invaluable. I've used it to move once but I've brought broken cars to my house on it more than I care to think about. Much cheaper than renting all those times and definately cheaper than a tow truck! :)
