A lot of people do replace seals and the leaks will soon double their efforts it seems. Paul Tegler did a neat thing, where he developed his own breathing system to eliminate that compression build-up in the cylinder block (from blow-by and windage). Check with teglerizer.com for the specifics of his breathing system. But I'm pretty positive that if you simply replace the seals, you will eliminate the oil leaks only very temporarily. In fact I should try to duplicate it myself. -Terry T. http://www.firespitter.com/spitfire.html
