Here's what I learned last year shopping for tools. We bought a bunch of Kobalt, made by Williams, before Lowes changed suppliers.... Now Kobalt are just junk, shitty like ALL new Craftsman....
A little story, I had a set yellow sears screwdrivers that had a red rubber grip on them that was stamped and lettered "Made In USA". After tearing one of the rubber grips off by using a pair of channel locks to get more leverage, whata ya mean not covered", the actual molded yellow plastic had stamped on it " Made in China". So, I guess the only part that US made was the rubber grip :-)......... Oh, this was at least 10 years ago... Oh, good reading link here about tools http://www.team.net/www/morgan/tech/whotools.html Donald Stike Oh yes, whos got a good rear end for a 79 spitty? --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Well.... anyone that use to like Craftsman or > considered it a > 'quality' backed product line ...can kiss that > good-bye! > K-mart just bought Sears! 11 billions dollar deal! > There's no way Kmart can/will continue 'quality'. > There > isn't any way they'll be able to maintain the > 'Sears' brand loyalty > by bring in China crap, which is the only way > they'll be able to > maintain profits. > > So who else believes Kmart and Sears BOTH will be > out of > business within five years after this grab for > market dominance? > > Why post this on the LBC lists? ..AS a warning to > buy your > tools NOW!
