Oil filters are a slippery subject. Ford pretty much uses one single filter for everything they had in rear wheel drive cars. GM had a limited number around 4 possible filters. It's when you start needing things like anti-flowback valves, pressure relief, capacity, etc, that really starts messing things up. In addition to that, you've got filters of certain sizes for clearance on 4x4 or FWD vehicles. Can a filter be mounted horizontally or vertically? Is it a spin on one piece or a cartridge? What's the pressure rating?
Too many little things and variables end up creating a huge lineup of filters for your particular make and model. -Vegaman Dan -Ex NAPA counterman *** http://www.team.net/the-local *** Your messages not reaching the list?
