This type hits the shock and gouges it deeply. They also have problems closing enough because of how far away from the perches you have to be to get the fat fingers in there. And then there's the way the generic ones get crossed up as you compress the spring. Where did you get yours btw? http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=43753 doesn't fit either. I've got one and tried it. It fouls the shock as well.
