Hmmm... Sorry, I didn't mean it to dbe a trick question, it's just that the manual says there is a relay for the 80 Spit. I'm getting good click from the solenoid, and getting contenuity from the 3/4 lockout switch. I've cleaned the screen of sludge and changed the tranny oil. The next step is the pin wrench to the plug that hides the hi pressure filter.

Thanks, :)

Trick question! I believe the later ODs do not have a relay at all.

For the older models (like mine), it is mounted next to the horn relay, on
the upper front of the firewall.

P.S.: If you are trying to fix electrical problems by replacing parts until the
problem goes away, you are choosing the Way Of Pain. At the very
least, you should have a good digital multi-meter and a wiring diagram.

I too, have an OD problem. On an 80 Spit. Can anyone tell me where the OD *releay* is located? It's the only component that I haven't replaced.
