It's time to replace the water pump. Water is leaking out the weep hole at the bottom of the water pump, letting you know that the internal seals are about to fail. My best guess.

Parrott 1980 Spit "PJ" Savannah, Ga -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tim Benner Sent: Saturday, October 15, 2005 4:33 PM To: [email protected] Subject: sprung a leak It was a fine day for motoring in Ohio today. After starting my Spit I backed it out of the garage to let it warm up, and noticed a small and very new spot in the floor. Backed up again and found a larger one on the driveway. It is coolant, coming from somewhere around the water pump. Exactly where I cannot tell. It is a steady drip at this point and it looks to be coming from the bottom of the water pump housing. Can't tell if it is from the water pump itself or where it bolts up to the housing. Anyone else had a similar leak or know a good method to diagnose where it's coming from? I'd like to figure out what needs to be ordered. Thanks! Tim Benner 1965 MKII Your messages not reaching the list?
