I just spent 4 hours trying to get the remnants of the sump pump plug out. No go. All I ended up doing is making a hole within the remnants, and it's not centered correctly. Okay, so I could just scrape parts of it out, right? Tried that and while some molecules of metal came out, that eventually dried up(nothing came out). I seem to have this ability to fuse metal together with a flick of a wrist.
Looking at the pump and how it's mounted inside the not-flush circular area, I just might have to live with 2 bolts. I wonder if I(when i get the 3 new bolts in mail order) could some how re-tap things with just the bolt. Eh, probably not. Unless... Does anyone know the exact drill bit size + helicoil size I need to helicoil a new hole in there? Your messages not reaching the list?
