Spitfire Lovers.....
I have a question for you engine gurus...
I had the head on my 1972 1300 shaved .035". New valves. New guides.
Now, will I have an issue with the push rods being too long? Can I
compensate for this by shimming under the rocker carrier an equal amount or
is there an enough adjustment on the rockers to accommodate the lose of
thickness of the head.(to adjust valve clearance)
Also at one point we had a discussion concerning retorqueing the
head studs after removing the head. Correct me if I'm wrong, torque the head
studs cold, fire it up to operating temp., then loosen and retorque studs
with head hot.
            Thanks for any guidance!!!!!!

            Dave Gebhard
