I would have figured I'd have gotten more responses, especially from a group of enthusiasts... Now asking &1700.00 OBO
I have a 1974 Spitfire that I simply don't want any more. I bought it ~15 years ago with transmission and engine problems. I've gone through the transmission, about 5 years ago, and essentially parked the car. I started a block-in rebuild last winter: new cam, pistons, rings, rod brgs, thrust washers, and before I brought the head in to the machine shop I decided I really don't want the car any more. Right now it has the head off and pan off so everything I've done is visible. It's California car and has been garaged for most of its life. Body's straight, factory French Blue paint. There's the smallest amount of rust on the passenger side rear fender dogleg, but that's it (as far as I can remember). I bought a nice used factory steel hardtop for it (wrong shade of blue). Convertible top and interior are stock and there, but rough. Decent Tonneau cover. There's ~$600 in new parts in boxes (including a ring & pinion, brgs, etc. for rear end overhaul which it doesn't need). Also a weber DCOE 40, DCOE manifold with broken ears, another 1300 head, twin SU setup (the car has a header and single Stromberg on it)and miscellaneous other bits. Also a set of turbine style mags w/old tires. Probably more I've forgotten. I'm in Northern California, Santa Rosa area. I'd like to sell everything at once, for $1700 OBO, but will consider offers. I have taken some pix I can email to interested parties. Oh, and it's smog exempt! Tom (707) 829-2642 Your messages not reaching the list?
