I have had a hardtop for several years, and as for the
weight, my guess is as good as yours.  Maybe 60
pounds?

Something from Harken would be massive overkill.  I
just went to the hardware store and got some pulleys
and rope.

The hard part is figuring out a secure way to hook it
up to the hardtop without risking damage to the paint
or headliner, and that is simple enough that you won't
drop or scratch the hardtop while trying to hook it up
or take it off.

You can see how I used some pieces of wood and metal
strips that attached to the mounting holes with bolts.
I have moved sine then, and my new system uses a
single roof rack crossbar, the kind that clamps to the
gutters, to hold the hardtop.  This has the advantage
that it can be hooked up and detached while the
hardtop is on the car.  The crossbar is mounted pretty
far back, where the center of gravity is.
