Some of you will know that Dennis Benson is restoring GWK 884D, the press
demonstrator GT6, here in the UK. This car has commission number KC006 and
engine number KC1E. I spoke to Dennis earlier today regarding some panels he
needs to proceed with the restoration.
The car has suffered rust and accident damage to the humped area in the
floor over the differential. As rust-free bodyshells are virtually unheard
of here in the UK, importing a body section from the US may be viable. Is
there a lister parting out a Spitfire or GT6 with rust free floors? The
original panel is common to both models, as part number 904713.
I will pass on any leads for Dennis to deal with directly.
Obviously, if anyone has a new and unused panel, that would be even
better....
