Hi Stuart,

If you decide to go for it and install it yourself, check out
http://www.autorestorer.com/articles/art121.html and
http://www.get-up-and-go.com/IFA/IFA-headliner.html

Both good resources for installing a "suspended headliner" which is what we
have in our Triumphs. During a 48-hour restoration of Pat Barber's Spit here
in Detroit, we crafted a new one and installed it using the old bows. A
challenge, but not impossible. It looked great when all finished. Good
luck!

Cheers,
Blake Discher, Detroit

Subject: [Spit] Factory Hardtop

I have just purchased a factory hardtop for my MKIV. It fits fine but there
is no head liner and it needs a complete restoration. Is any place that
supplies head liners ? Where can I see what the original headliner looks
like and how it is secured? If the head liner is NOS what do you suggest I
do?
