something that has been on my to-do list for some time is to allow the png name 
to be the filename (i.e. dump_000 gives dump_000.png) - it’s complicated since 
you might have multiple files for the same dump file, and a bit tricky to 
implement (giza knows nothing about subsequent filenames after the first one, 
just changes the “page” and increments the number).

However, what you suggest is a very good idea, which should be easy to 
implement. I’ll have a crack at that.
