Subject: [SPOC] Welcome to the new SPOC National List

The finishing touches have been put on the new ListServ and has now been
moved over. As you may have read in the past months one of the
changes that is being made is moving the SPOC list off of Topica and on
to a more reliable, more controllable mailing list program. The officers

list and a few chapter lists have been running on the new server for
just over a month or more and most, if not all, of the bugs have been
worked out.

Here is what has happened:
-A message has been sent to the old Topica List.
-All of the current users of the Topica list have been migrated over to
the new server to cut down on any resubscriptions. If you want to
resubscribe you can go to
http://www.spocnational.org/listserv/default.asp
-The Topica list has been set to Read-Only so that past posts can be
read
and searched on. (the new lists archive can be searched at
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ )

As always there are rules and we have tried to keep them to a minimum
but they are here so please obey them as failure to do so will result in

suspension or removal from the list.

1. No flame wars. If you disagree with someone, say so clearly and
politely. Heated discussions are fine and even encouraged, as long as
egos don't get in the way and personal attacks stay out of it. Keep your

tempers in check. This applies to EVERYBODY, including the list
moderators.

2. Never post a private e-mail to the list without the author's
permission.

3. File Attachments. DO NOT send them to the list. Some e-mail programs
like to attach files with Rich Text Format or HTML code in them to
provide features like different font styles, etc. DISABLE this function
of your Email program by choosing to send in plain text.

4. Foul Language. We request that you limit the use of foul language in
your posts, though we do not prohibit it. We do, however, prohibit it in

Subject Line.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me at

Neil
