I went to the local autox today, and had a great time. After it was all
over with, a guy who I've seen at past events comes up and asked if my
car is NA or not. I told him it was. I guess he was impressed with how
well I did. I took second to an Avenger by about .1 seconds, and beat
out a late 80's Prelude Si with 4WS, new Cavalier, new NOT stock
(springs, gutted interior, race seats, STB, etc.) Sunfire, and maybe one
other that I can't remember.

Anyways, he told me that he makes custom turbo kits. I mentioned that
Greddy and HKS make turbos for my car (Civic), and he said that he can
put one together for $1000+ less than you can buy them for. He peaked
my interest. I mentioned to him that I know of several Saturn people
that would love to have a turbo kit. Seeing that there is really only
one on the market at the moment.

Glancing over his webpage and talking to him, he supplies all but the
electonics and additional injectors if needed, but he can get them for
you (I believe). He does the piping, turbo, compressor, intercooler,
and I would assume the oil lines and other connections and such. From
talking to him, he can build a kit to suit your needs. Anything from a
large slow spooling lots of power to a small quick spooling not as much
power turbo. Personally, I would go with a turbo that can be producing
boost at around 2k. It would make it more ideal for autox.

He said that he just needs a donor car to develop on. Also, an order of
or a market to sell atleast 20 to make it worth the cost. I know where
he can find a 91 SL2 to develop on, if it is still at the junk yard.
His webpage is http://www.itsturbo.net. The email to reach him is at
the bottom of the main page. I'm not getting any kick back from this,
just so you know. I'm just sharing with the Saturn community. For
those in the area, this guy is in Dayton, OH.

He's got several turbo cars at home. I know he has a Merker that he
used to run last year and previous years. I believe he mentioned a
turbo Mustang maybe a Camaro. There was one other that I can't remember
what it was. He said that he talked to an S2000 guy at the event today
that wants to put one on his car. Especially since the aftermarket ones
are like $10k, and this guy says that he can build it for less.

Hope some of you are interested. Sounds like this guy could be very
interested in developing a turbo kit for Saturns. Could be worth
showing your intesest to him.
