Joe, It looks like there will be a fairly sizable contingent from SPOCNE at this years CCPJ :) Details have not yet been entirely worked out as to when we are leaving/returning, but the general plan is to convoy, using FRS radios to keep in touch. We'll be leaving sometime in the darkness between Thursday evening and dawn of Friday (more detail as it is determined).
Keith McKeever (on this list) has reserved a block of rooms at a nearby hotel. We stayed there last year and it worked out very well... close proximity to the show, car wash across the street, and fairly quiet except for us Saturn freaks. We'll probably be splitting rooms amoungst 3 or 4 people, so figure 30-40 a night (Keith can give you more specific figures). Figure about a tank and a half of gas each way, and a few dollars in tolls. The trip down was about 8 hours last year, but the return trip was heavy traffic, more like 10-11 hours. Showfield admission gets 2 people into the show for the weekend, so the only other expenses you need to worry about are food/drink and any spending cash you might want. Good to have you along!
