I know many of you know that the SAAB 9^3 used the same 2.2 liter engine as the Saturn L-series, its what is becoming the ecotec that will be used in everything just about. Well thought I would mention this in case no one else does cuase it really cool. anyway in motortrend they have a little writeup on the Circuito Islas Canarias Race of Champions which is a WRC like event in Africa. It brings big names f orm all over the world of motorsports.
This year Per Eklund built a 580hp SAAB 9^3 Turbo 4x4. If thats not impressive get this, they do 0-60 in 2.1 seconds. I dont think Ineed to tell yall, that is fast.
Anyway now they are thinking about entering the WRC next year. So if a car running the 2.2l is in WRC that could really help the tuner industry for cars with the ecotec. Or I would think it would.
