With a used vehicle I would also replace your fuel filter as well as other maintenance items. I know when I got some bad gas and fouled up my fuel filter I had lots of problems including hard starts. That or fuel pump might be on it's way out. If you have the ability to get a pressure gauge on the test port of the fuel rail and see if you are getting low pressure during the hard starts. Since after it starts it's ok then I don't think we're looking at plugs.

OK, I hope someone can help me on this one. 97 SC2. Every so often I just will not start on the first crank or takes forever. Doesn't matter if it's hot or cold. If it doesn't start the first time it fires right up on the next. I changed the plugs and wires hoping this would correct the problem, but it has not. I also gapped the plugs to spec. The parts store only had Autolites plugs in stock...do the Saturns just not like these plugs? Anything else on this car that could cause that or is there just something picky I don't know about? I've only been a Saturn owner goning on 2 weeks now, so I'm in the dark right now. Thanks, Dale __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
