the header was the single best improvement done to a otherwise stock saturn (except nos or something like that, out of all the bolt ons you really feel a header), it gives you more seat of the pants mid range then a throttle body or intake alone or many other minor mods. cars were built with the second exhaust manifold to combat critics of excessive interior and road noise. the cast manifolds are more restrictive and also quieter. the factory headers weather used or an aftermarket company will be the best bang for buck. the exhaust manifolds that came into play in 92 were simply made to reduce noise, no other reason whatsoever.
