maybe it's your regulator or a problem elsewhere that is eating up your
alternator.
I have a 95 sc2 with original alternator, no problems. I have even added
pulleys a year ago. Only thing replaced was battery after 5 years.
Im pretty shure its the way i run my car, i run it prety harsh for 1 and high revs are bad for the alt. Plus i run 1200 watts of car audio constantly. Amongst al the other factory power doohickies. Powere windows, locks,sunroof, alarm, ABS, steering.....ect. The alternators apparently were not meant to have this much draw from accessories.
