Well first thing that I need to do is to
check the plugs tomorrow and see how they look. After that, I will begin
checking the rest of the ignition out to see if I can come up with anything.

I haven't messed with the programmable DIS
but I know on the switched style there was the max rev limiter and the 2-step.
There was also another switch that was the "low speed" rev limiter
and with that switch on the max rev limiter was lowered by another 1000 rpm. I
first didn't realize this and set my max rev limiter to 6000 (red line was 5500
on my sohc) but had that switch on so my msd started cutting out at 5000 rpm.
Don't know if this will give you any insight but since i have no knowledge of
that specific model that's all i can think of.

I have the programmable DIS 2 in my car, and still having
problems with. I had a friend watch the readouts on my laptop, and even
on shifts where you press the clutch just far enough to shift, the rev
limiter indicator still came on.

MSD is dropping spark...something to look into anyways.
