As far as I know, Keith McKeever still holds the title to SPOC……

things are looking good Scott, i am leaving for Tennessee next week so  im locking into the 4 bay garage we discussed and opening a couple weeks after i return, well use the current location until I get my lifts installed , i guess im going to have to buy a second compressor cause we need the one at the yard no matter what and im not going to lug it back and forth.

because its a small shop, well nice size but small to me, ill be painting it and dressing it up before putting the sign up open for business. you know me, everything's got to be in perfect order and lined up. ill dress it up as much as possible, im even considering losing one of the bays to make a large office out of it. when you get back well ride over, well of course, you'll be working there part time so you'll be one of the first saturnites to see it (didnt i create that word about 5 years ago on saturnfans in one of my poems? twas da night befoe cwismus? LOL) be good, joey out

That is good to hear….as long as he is willing to learn and can handle the abuse that you guys dish out, he will go far.

How are things with the new shop? I am sure that all of us Saturnites look forward to the new 6th Planet….

OXXXXXXXXX!! ignition test, find one dummy (Wayne would work great for this test) have him hold the long licorice style wire (there are 4 of these coming off a sparky thingy)turn key and crank her over, Wayne fidgets around and arcs you got plenty of spark, ignition 101 by Joey

Well first thing that I need to do is to check the plugs tomorrow and see how they look. After that, I will begin checking the rest of the ignition out to see if I can come up with anything.

I haven't messed with the programmable DIS but I know on the switched style there was the max rev limiter and the 2-step. There was also another switch that was the "low speed" rev limiter and with that switch on the max rev limiter was lowered by another 1000 rpm. I first didn't realize this and set my max rev limiter to 6000 (red line was 5500 on my sohc) but had that switch on so my msd started cutting out at 5000 rpm. Don't know if this will give you any insight but since i have no knowledge of that specific model that's all i can think of.

I have the programmable DIS 2 in my car, and still having problems with.  I had a friend watch the readouts on my laptop, and even on shifts where you press the clutch just far enough to shift, the rev limiter indicator still came on.

Hey Neil,

I recently installed the same plugs in the car; they are only 3 days old
at most. The MSD 8.5 wires are supposed to have the lowest resistance of
any wires, so I am hoping that it isn't in the wires.

I will take a look at the plugs tomorrow and see if I can find anything.
I guess I should also take a look at the settings on the unit to see if
I have something set wrong.

Now that I think about it though, I wonder if the two-step limiter is
causing a problem when I shift. Since the limiter is connected to my
clutch pedal, it is possible that when I am shifting at the upper RPM's
that maybe the limiter is kicking in when the pedal is depressed and the
MSD is dropping spark...something to look into anyways.
