I first mounted the TB and traced along the lip inside it....Then I
removed it and used a felt tip to trace where I needed to go, I had still
kept my one gasket so I used that as teh template.

The bits I used were a carbide cutter (dremel #114) but that was taking
off aluminum too quickly,  the blue/green stone 'wheel' (dremel#85602 I
think) which wore out almost through it all, a tan barrel shaped stone
(dremel #8193) which glazed over quickly, and finally a
cone shaped blue/green stone (dremel #84922) until I couldn't see the pen
marks. I did one last pass with a 180 grit coarse sanding barrel until it
wore out...at that point the inside was shiny.  I went as far in as the
lip goes on the intake (about 1/2").  Very big difference was felt, my
starts all caused my tires to 'chirp' which never has happened with my
normal driving style...so to me that is a pretty noticable gain...plus
seat of the pants fellings were plenty :).  I would love to dyno soon.  I
may hit moroso off beeline highway for the 'real world' dyno and pray my
trans doesn't crap out.

For the gasket I eyed it up and used a 220 grit medium sanding barrel and
opened it up.  The gasket was ok for the most part if it was aligned
perfectly, but to not have to mess with that I just took aout 1mm off all
the way around.

My check engine light was caused by me forgetting to hook back up the air
temperature lead.  Sort of happens spending all day at the beach drinking
and then not eating. :)

THIS WILL CAUSE ALOT OF DUST IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT!

With that said make sure there is nothing around (air filter, intake pipe,
the throttle body, fuse box is not open) that shavings/dust will screw up.
