Not to argue physics, but that is a common misinterpretation of Ohm's Law, which only works for linear devices...being most amplifiers today are a combination of various components it is not a rule you can apply across the board. Also some amplifier will regulate the output and some have power supplies not capable of higher output (though they will rise slightly usually).
