im beginning to wonder about more then just the venom, i got a top line
hypertech chip for my tahoe Kevin, it made me lose 3 mpg, dont feel crap as
far as more power, it has its own scanner that you program in what options
you want, well both the sift point and shift firmness i had to take out as
my truck was throwing codes left and right, took that part out and the
tranny codes stopped.
the ONLY thing useful i got out of it for 400 bucks was it did lose the
stupid 101 mph governor.
they all show this increase in power usually at the high point of the power
band, well thats most likely due to the fact that they hold the gear longer
so of course its going to show more power at the top of the band cause if it
shifted into the next higher gear it would start the power band cycle all
over again.
pretty disappointed. at first i thought it was OK but as a few months went
by i realized constantly having to download codes and more wear and tear on
the truck just wasn't worth it considering i didnt feel crap power gain wise
and LOST a solid 3 mpg. if losing 3 mpg id damn sure like to feel something.
