Sorry guys, got into work at 11, then had to go to lunch at noon. Rough
life.

If the schedule stays the same as the one posted on
saturnperformanceclub.com ... this is a rough idea of the costs, and I'm
assuming your arriving a day early and leaving a day after (for drive days).
I would recommend bringing a co-driver, then you wont be as tired after the
drive (it's a long one). I would also recommend posting some requests on
the different mailing lists to see if anyone is interested in splitting a
hotel room with you, that will save a ton. After running One Lap, someone's
floor is good enough for me.

**************************************

Hotel rooms @ ~$70/night x 8 nights = ~$560
* If your nice to fellow SPC'ers, you might only have to pay a quarter of
that (four to a room)

Registration cost for the event (just guessing here) = ~$250
* Includes three dyno runs, drivers school, probably drag racing,
food/drinks for the awards party, and miscellaneous costs associated with
the rally

Food (three meals a day @ $10 per meal) = ~$270

Ford Automotive Museum = ~$10

Go-Kart Racing (just guessing here too) = ~$20

SPC Polo Rally Shirt from Tapp = $40

A beer or two for Tapp and Deebs (the good stuff) = ~$30

Total cost, at the very very most (I can't imagine it getting this high) =
~$1200

**************************************

At least in Rochester, gas is about $1.50 for 87, $1.70-$1.80 for 92-93'ish
octane. I'm guessing it's about the same in Detroit/Chicago. No clue on
mileage for the rally ... so your on your own for the fuel costs.

I also make sure to have a free credit card before attending. Never know
what's going to happen. It's like One Lap, but with cheaper registration,
not as much abuse on the cars, and oh yeah, you get to sleep.

I always put aside a ton of cash for the rally, but only use some of it.
It's not that bad if you take it easy on food, split hotel costs, etc.

Have fun,
Jamin
