Folks, To all of you from the New England area. I'm proposing a caravan to Carlisle for the show. I belive that the best time to go would be Friday morning. I do belive that I am one of the most "Southern" people in NE and think that this would be and easy to find and a central Southern location to leave from. Where is here? Groton CT. What highway is it on? Interstate 95. It's also where the big submarine base is (for those who go by landmarks). The route that we'll be taking is about a 7 hour drive....or less depending on the average running speed of the group. To arrive in Carlisle by noon we'd have to leave Groton by 4am.....If you let me know I may be able to get cheap hotel rooms for people that Thursday night. Let me know what you think. Justin had brought up a good idea about using those "family band" radios that you see springing up all over as communication between members. I agree with this and will have mine with me and suggest that others do the same as this will help keep the group together and no body gets lost along the way; I also have a cell phone so those can be used but not quite as effectively.
