Okay, there's only a couple days left before our adventure begins, so I thought I'd send out what I think is the itinerary for our trip. Please respond and let me know if I've got this all down correctly.
Don and his wife, Joe and his GF and myself will all meet at the Burlington Marriott Hotel parking lot, near the Burlington Mall at 6:30 pm on Thursday night. We will stop for fast food for those that are hungry while en route to East Haven, CT. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express in East Haven, CT. I have reservations for two rooms, each non-smoking with 2 beds. One room will be occupied by Don and his Wife, the other by Joe and his GF (one bed) and myself (the other bed). The Holiday Inn Express in East Haven is off exit 51 from Rt 95 (about 3 mi east of the 91/95 interchange). The address is 30 Frontage Rd. The hotel tel# is 203-469-5321. The rooms should be under my name (Brian Austin), so if you need to contact us at the hotel, ask for me. At 6:30 am on Friday, Jeff, Shawn and Tom will meet up with us at the hotel, and we will caravan from there to Carlisle. Brenda will be informing Tom of this when he returns from sea. I now have 4 FRS 2-way radios for us to use to keep in touch during the trip (and possibly at the show). If everyone comes through we'll have 6 cars traveling together for the show, so if anyone else has FRS radios they are encouraged to bring them along. :) I've told Keith that I expect the NE caravan will arrive at Carlisle at about 1:00 pm. We should be able to meet him at the fairgrounds, get checked in and meet up with the rest of the Saturn crowd there. Most of us have rooms at the Wingate Inn, 385 Cumberland Pkwy Mechanicsburg, PA 717-766- 2710 which is a nice hotel just far enough from the action to be comfortable, and is practically across the street from a self-serve car wash for last minute car detailing. Rooms are held under SPOC by Keith McKeever. The SPOC crowd will be taking over a local Denny's restaurant on Friday Night at 7pm for an informal get together. I will be participating in the NASA driving school on Saturday and the Time Trial on Sunday. Those that are willing to stick around fairly late on Sunday are welcome to caravan back to NE with me. We can work out those details at the show. This is gonna rock! Cheers, Brian __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
