Okay - it's bugged me long enough. Link to the directory is here, only those two files are the culprits: http://www.corqspy.net/shortwave I'm only a listening buff, enjoy the occasion stray spy numbers broadcast. Oftentimes, I scan around looking for wefax's and benign stuff to decode, as I'm band-scanning I hear stuff and halt the radio thinking I hear fax hiss and I get both this hissing, wind-in-a-microphone sound, or that clinking/pinging sound. I'm assuming these arent things for the public to decode but: are they atmospheric anomalies, some form of digital beacon, or is there a *really* badly grounded appliance in my apartment???? (I rule out NOTHING in my place, heh). These noises have bugged the heck out of me for years now - and I haven't quite found them on the "Digital Sounds" pages that I know of - I check those when I can. Anyone know? TIA - and yes, perhap I will cut back on the caffeine... =) _______________________________________________ Spooks mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/spooks - Visit http://www.spynumbers.com/ for complete information about Spy Numbers Stations
