check out flea markets and yard sales - you might luck into something! I found an old (working) radio from Sears with SW capacity for 50 cents (that's probably 25 cents US?). And maybe you have older relatives with lots of stuff? I am the proud owner of a 1941 RCA Victor, with the cool brown Bakelite body, and it has SW. The vacuum tubes appear to be OK, unfortunately I have to find someone who knows more about electronics than I do because it's powered by one of the old dry cell batteries which you can't get any more!! 73s, Sue > Sue Hickey, Forum editor, the Messenger > Canadian International DX Club > _____________________________________________ > "I am in terrible ignorance of everything." I will keep it in mind, but at the moment I am flat broke, with 60 cents (us) to my name. Don't think I could buy any radio for that. :-( Soon, soon... On Fri, 25 Jun 2004 00:19:36 -0230, Susan C.
