As Zack noted, I also use it to find current frequencies that are possible ( or likely) in my part of the world (and sometimes try for some frequencies that aren't that likely.) Keeping up on changes is part of the challenge of Dxing numbers stations. I didn't get any M8 or V2 family stations last night either when I went looking (between a couple of thunder storms).
