Hi friends, I just listened to Chris' MP3 on the Spynumbers site. As I remember from my big archive, where I also collected EAM, there was a sked, which was also modulated in this way as the recording was: USB and much noises. Also the voice was a female one, no computerized voice, as it was here. Also the two tones at the end were missing, as it was here. The two call-up tones I remember first from 1985. So I would also think, it was EAM, although the freq was/is unusual. But: I remember another EAM recording from winter 1981, which was behind a S10 freq, which was also unusual in that time (male voice, live-transmission, USB). So further monitoring 6840 and the other monitored freqs for this station.
