I have never > heard that the station was officially busted. Propagation definitely supports the single QTH theory, unlike the "multiple transmitter sites" speculation I've seen elsewhere. It is heard better on higher freqs during the day, and lower freqs at night. While I can't say for sure that it's coming from the southwestern US, propagation seems to support this idea.
