Brooke, Good question. One would have to copy a number of messages from the same station and examine the groups to see if they sum to a particular value; in the fourth group of each message, the first three numbers always sum to the fourth digit, or the twentieth goup is always the group count. Would defiantely require a lot of ful copy over a period of time. Visit http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/spooks to unsubscribe from this list Hi: Do any of the numbers stations send a check sum, parity, CRC, etc. that works on the characters as sent? The idea would be that the recipient of a message could calculate the check prior to decoding to be sure that the message was received correctly. 73, Brooke Clarke, N6GCE -- w/Java http://www.PRC68.com w/o Java http://www.pacificsites.com/~brooke/PRC68COM.shtml http://www.precisionclock.com ______________________________________________________________ Spooks mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/spooks Help: http://mailman.qth.net/faq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] - Visit http://www.spynumbers.com/ for complete information about Spy Numbers Stations
