I opened up one of my rigs to use as an I.F. for microwave, it transmits 160 KHz to 200 MHz, AM, FM, CW and SSB. Using the data port on the rear would by-pass the audio input filters and drive the modulator directly for some good Hi-Fi operation., however, like you, I enjoy my various licenses far too much to mess around. I studied television and radio production in college, aside from the expense and amount of the equipment used, there isn't much difference between what is done in a major studio and what a fourth grader can do at home on a junk computer or some old tape decks. Anyone with a fairly modern ham transceiver could do this. : I've never done it and never will (pirate broadcast), but I did open up : the whole HF frequency range on my TS-850S so I could transmit on 60 : meters. ______________________________________________________________ Spooks mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/spooks Help: http://mailman.qth.net/faq.htm Post: mailto:Spooks@mailman.qth.net - Visit http://www.spynumbers.com/ for complete information about Spy Numbers Stations
