: The link to YouTube record: : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYfKtrgdjK8 I listened to it and it is not SSTV, not FSTV, not any mode I have ever heard, including a dozen or so in the Hellschreiber series. It DOES, however, sound very much like the combination data-slice\speech inversion voice encryption formats used throughout HF\VHF\UHF in the mid-90's, BUT, it is slow, whatever it is. It does sound very much like voice to me. I have yet to hear it in DM09, but when it starts to roll in, I'll try to hook up my Icom IC-706 MKII. The RTTY(R), (R) for "reverse" does a good job of straightening out speech inversion modes. Comments from the Hell guys so far are: "To answer your question, No most Feld Hell on 80 meters is below 3600. Typically you can find hell between 3575 and 3584 depending on the band activity. Mike N4QLB Technical Manager, FHC" (FeldHell Club) "Recently, I've heard what sounds like a "sick" Pactor signal around that freq. Believe that it is not coming from the US. Keep in mind that while this frequency is an exclusive allocation for US Hams, this does not hold true overseas in Regions 1 and 3. There are fully-authorized military and other fixed-service and mobile-service stations in these bands. If you have a recording Kurt, I'd love to analyze it for you and see if I could ID it."
