You may tar the world with one brush, but if you look around there are more colours and brushes to choose from. I am a ham, I am not a snob and I rather think judging the whole by examining the remainder isn't the way to gauge the world. I also have spent significant time on 11M and I don't judge people collectively there, I have met some rather obnoxious people on all bands, and by the same token I have met many rather nice people on all bands. I have found the some of the worst people on 11M more often or not, and have seen the demise of 11M in some areas purely due to the minority's stuck up attitude. I don't know where you're from but I only wish you'd seen my local club, whose interests are vast, who's main focus is to support the education in the hobby and it's expansive knowledge is open to all. We have all ages ranging from very young to rather elderly and the old teach the young and conversely the old have learnt equally as much from the young. Some members enjoy contests, some enjoy specific bands, other only listen like us, and some like data modes, and I like to dabble in everything, including satellite work. So, I ask you, do you think I am a snob?
